Our Leadership
Raj Chauhan
CEO & Founder
Raj Chauhan brings extensive experience in technical leadership across multiple industries including automotive, aerospace & defense, building materials, consumer products, energy & utilities, food & beverage, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, paper & packaging, and rubber & plastics.
As the CEO & Founder of Zuma Innovations, Raj has designed and developed AI-based Visual Inspection with predictive maintenance and analytics for Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, and US DOD. Under his leadership, the company successfully developed a prototype in just 6 weeks and an MVP in 3 months, leading to deployment at customer sites.
Prior to founding Zuma Innovations, Raj served as Chief Technology Officer at Kadeya, where he oversaw and directed planning, architecture, testing, and implementation of hardware/software dedicated to reducing single-use plastics through sustainable bottling technology solutions. He is also a co-inventor of an IOT machine patent issued in January 2024.
His career also includes roles as Interim Chief Technology Officer at BennitAI, Chief Technology Officer at Avionté Staffing Software, and various leadership positions at ASI DataMyte Inc., including CTO & Vice President of Engineering and Interim President & CEO.
Ian Atkins
Lead AI Architect & Engineer
Ian Atkins is a Computer Science and Business Information Management graduate from the University of California, Irvine, who brings a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to his role as Lead AI Architect and Engineer at Zuma Innovations.
As the AI Lead for InSpec, Ian architected and implemented the core AI technologies that power the platform's visual inspection capabilities. His innovative approach to edge-based AI deployment and non-technical user interfaces has been instrumental in making advanced computer vision accessible to manufacturing environments without requiring specialized ML expertise.
Prior to joining Zuma Innovations, Ian built the initial prototypes for High Tech Health's Transcend Smart Sauna line, where he developed IoT systems and mobile applications for remote sauna control and health monitoring. This experience in edge computing and connected devices proved valuable in developing InSpec's distributed architecture.
Ian's technical expertise spans machine learning, computer vision, edge computing, and full-stack development. He is also responsible for designing and developing the Zuma Innovations website, showcasing his versatile skill set across both AI systems and user-facing applications.
